RITA ALBRECHT

RITA ALBRECHT, beloved wife of Michael Albrecht of Milk River, passed away peacefully at the Milk River Hospital on Monday, August 6, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Rita was born in Calgary, Alberta on June 11, 1928. She lived and was educated in Milk River, Pincher Creek and Medicine Hat. She worked and taught in Iron Springs and at the Hutterville Colony. She and Mike were married in 1948 and moved to Vancouver for 2 years; they were married for 53 years. Rita was predeceased by her father Mr. Arvid Albrecht of San Luis Obispo, California. She is survived by her four children; Dan Albrecht (Judy Devoe), Peggy Anne (Todd) Meeter, Marcus Albrecht and Carol (Arnie) Bergen Henegouwen, 3 grandchildren; Dalin Meeter, Kate Albrecht and Rebecca Albrecht as well as her brother Michael (Nancy) Bardell of Surrey, B.C. In 1956, Rita and Mike pursued their dreams of becoming farmers and raising their children on a farm. They became involved in home, school and the Warner Memorial Church; Rita always loved children so what better chance to be involved then to work in the Church Sunday School. In 2000, Rita and Mike moved to Milk River to retire. Rita loved the Lord and believed in being thankful.
