MRS. RENAE CHRISTY WILSON, beloved wife of Mr. Kim Wilson, of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly in Kigali, Rwanda, Africa on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the age of 38 years.

Renae was born March 11, 1976 and chosen one month later by Larry and Carol Perrin of Olds. She grew up on the Perrin family farm with her loving parents and grandparents and in 1995, Renae married Kim Wilson of Crane Valley, Saskatchewan and shortly thereafter relocated to Lethbridge, Alberta.

Renae is survived by her loving husband of 19 years Kim and their children Nathan, Abigail, Naomi, Joel and Ethan. She is also survived by her parents Larry and Carol Perrin and brother Tyler (Ashley). Renae also leaves to mourn her birth mother, Birute Behrens, her husband Peter and family; and birth father, Gunars Plumite and his wife Mary Ellen and family along with many uncles, aunts and cousins. Renae was predeceased by her grandparents Harold and Olive Perrin and Bill and Marie Coates of Olds.

Renae went to the Mountain View Christian School and graduated at 16 yr. of age. After graduation, Renae attended three years at Eston College in Saskatchewan. During the college years, Renae miraculously survived a ruptured appendix while on a mission trip to an orphanage in India. In January of 2014, Kim, Renae and family moved to Rwanda, Africa to serve as directors in a Rwandan orphanage.

Renae loved and found fulfillment in being a mother. She homeschooled her 5 children as well as served in her church and community. Her gentle, loving, and caring ways will be missed by everyone who knew her. Renae's passing leaves a huge emptiness in our lives and in our hearts but her faith, devotion, and dedication inspire us to steadfastly continue to serve and follow the Lord.

A Celebration of Life will be held at VICTORY CHURCH, 1 mile east of Lethbridge on Highway #3, on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. with Pastor Kelly Stickel officiating.
