Ramin was born on August 28, 1966 in Tehran, Iran. He described a happy childhood, the oldest of four siblings. He loved the outdoors, cars, and playing pranks. Ramin left Iran at the age of 18 and spent 2 years in Pakistan as a refugee before coming to his new home in Lethbridge, Alberta. Ramin and Beate met in 1991 and married in 1995. Being a father to his three girls became the most important part of his life and his greatest joy. Ramin was a devoted member of the Bahá’í Community of Lethbridge.
Ramin was ambitious and accomplished in his career. In his twenties, he attended the Lethbridge College where he met Beate. For many years he ran a satellite business. Looking for a change, Ramin became a student once more in 2007 at the age of 41, graduating with an Engineering Design and Drafting Technology Diploma in 2010. He would often comment that one of his regrets was that he didn’t go back to school earlier in his life. For the past 10 years Ramin was the Manager of Engineering and Public Works for the Town of Taber. He took great pride in his accomplishments; and truly loved his job as well as the people he worked with.
We are so incredibly heartbroken about Ramin leaving us so suddenly. He was kind, funny, and completely devoted to his family. He loved his Faith, travel, cooking, Survivor, and the Oilers among many other things.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 12:00 P.M.
Ramin will be laid to rest in Royal View Cemetery.

مرغ باغ ملکوتم نیم از علم خاک. چند روزی قفسی ساخته اند از بدنم. I am a bird of Heaven. A cage was made of my body for a short time. We miss Ramin.

I worked with Ramin since 2010 and often talked about our families and vacations. Kaslo was a very special place for him that he always talked fondly about.
Baeta and family: Ramin and I were good friends. I have known him since he began his work in Taber. We had many special conversations together, largely about family, his cabin and motorcycle. Ramin was very proud of your daughters and their accomplishments and spoke about the cabin many times. Sorry to say..Ramin, Norene and I never made it to travel out to the cabin. I know both of us would have enjoyed visiting very much. Norene and I are praying for your family at this time. We hope the wonderful memories of Ramin and times together as family will be of comfort. I will truly miss Ramin, our great conversations and friendship. With deep sympathy, Randy Tycholis

I only met Ramin last year when he joined the weightlifting class at the YMCA. After a few months we began meeting outside the class trying a variety of other classes. Ramin liked them but relished lifting heavy weights, far beyond that expected. Ramin was an enthusiastic and fun training partner. Ramin spoke with excitement about his life, family, work, and his latest goal to obtain his motorcycle licence, which he did. Rest in Peace, my friend.
Working with and getting to know Ramin over the last ten years has been very rewarding, he had such passion and dedication to his work. We will miss our daily chats and jokes, our sincere condolences to his family who we could tell he loved so much!

My deepest sympathy to the Lahiji family. Ramin was always a fair and reasonable Supervisor. I always enjoyed chatting with Ramin and he was very understanding following the death of my wife.
Whenever we needed someone to help us, Ramin offered his assistance with a smile. He was the first to greet us when we moved into the neighbourhood years ago. The shock and grief his beloved family feels now is unimaginable. Goodbye my friend and neighbour.
