MR. RALPH J. HERBST, beloved husband of Mrs. Bea Herbst of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his loving wife Bea and his children; Morris (Pat) Herbst of Aberdeen, SK, Denelda (Hermel) Michaud of Cold Lake, AB, Raphael Herbst of Edmonton, AB and Fabian Herbst of Lethbridge, 6 grandchildren; Debra Orr, Nicholas Herbst, Jeffrey Herbst, Kelly Herbst, Cassandra Michaud and Christopher Michaud and a great grandson Kalieb. He is also survived by his siblings; Edward (Mary) Herbst of Unity, SK, Diane (Paul) Pasquoletto of Oliver, B.C., Gordon Herbst of Moose Jaw, SK, Hilary Herbst of Unity, SK, Delores (Greg) Byran of Osoyoos, B.C. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Kasper and Philapina, brother Arnold, niece Crystal and nephew Gordon. Ralph was born on March 22, 1940 in Unity, Saskatchewan, he was raised and spent many years there. He met Beatrice Wist and they were married in 1962. Ralph was a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 1987 (due to illness). He later moved to Lethbridge where he resided until his passing. He enjoyed playing cards. Ralph loved his family, especially his grandchildren and he will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. A Prayer Service will be held at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Tim Boyle, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. In memory of Ralph, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
