Chantelle was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on December 15, 1980. She grew up on the Piikani Nation with her family, as she grew up she was always the leader and care taker of Robert and Lacey. Always making sure they were well taken care of, spending most of the time outside in the yard riding bikes, playing games, going for walks, sliding or helping out doing yard work. Chantelle grew to be a beautiful young lady, and then became a mother to her four beautiful children. She was such a caring compassionate mother who took exceptional care of all her children; she would be the first in our family to gift us with beautiful twins Chante and Leland. Being a mother was at the forefront of her priorities, even after she was separated from her children she'd send them love telepathically when she needed too and always and forever loved them to the end.
As an adult Chantelle would join the family on vacations to Kallispell and Great Falls, where we'd shop, eat and all sleep in the same room, ensuring we did not separate during the night. Returning to the border would always be hilarious, as our driver would be nervous because we always went over the duty free limit. When we'd be told to be quiet minutes before crossing, someone would start a joke and well…we'd laugh and laugh. Oh and our drive was dad.
Chantelle and her only biological sister Lacey were so close, even though they didn't see each other for some time; once they connected they would laugh as they'd be dressed in the same name brand clothing and accessories. This would then become a sharing extravaganza between both of them, showing their mama how connected and beautiful they are.
Chantelle held her niece Coolio Jewel close to her heart, she was the best and only babysitter who would push Jewel in the wheel barrel all the time around the yard they'd be cruising with the kitty and Buddy the dog. They'd lay in bed together and can be heard giggling and talking away, she was the best role model for Jewel. Chantelle later got a kick out of Coolio Jewel as she began to grow up and become taller than Chantelle.
The last Christmas we celebrated together was 2020, when we had so much fun, laughter, sharing and celebrating the season. Our tradition to open one gift at midnight was the highlight, everyone loved their unique gifts. This will be in the family's hearts forever and ever!
Chantelle took on employment when her children were younger working at several places including The Calgary Stampede alongside her little brother Robert. Chantelle camped with her brother in her late grandparents Harold and Jean Healy's Tipi for the entire Stampede. She attended training to help her with her life, she was very spiritual in the sense of believing in prayers, crystals, and Buddha's and of course practiced smudging. Then one day life happened to our precious Chantelle and her life became unkind and cruel to her, Chantelle only became stronger than anyone we've ever known. She walked stronger and continued to walk for herself and the people she loved. She always remained beautiful, caring, loving and humorous. Her favorite saying when someone was mean was: Go on with your bad self or to avoid an unhappy person she'd say: just smile and wave. Chantelle held a Masters of Strength and Love for Life from her own life experiences. Every time she'd see her immediate family, the first thing she would say; I love you! Gathering with her mama and the rest of the family was all laughter, good food and much teasing to each other, especially the roasting of each other. She was so close to her step father Robert, maybe it was because they're both Sagittarius.
Those who knew her know it was always a pleasure to simply be with and around Chantelle; she was such a sweetheart to everyone and had so many friends she enjoyed throughout her life. In her last days here she became the original real Chantelle who had nothing but love for her family and dear friends. We love you Chantelle forever and ever!
