It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of GEORGINA "GINA" CATHERINE POULSEN (née Hamilton) on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Gina is survived by her brother, Dave (Carol) Hamilton; son David (Coleen) Kato; and daughter Pat (Mark) Sayers; as well as four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Jim Kato; second husband, Dr. Ernie Poulsen; and her parents, Percy and Betty Hamilton.

Fiercely independent, Gina passed on her own terms, in her sleep and in her own bed. Special thanks to all her caregivers: Dr. Ernie Janzen, Dr. Alan MacPherson, Linda, Amy and all those who made her last years comfortable.

At Gina's request, no service will be held. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

My most happy memories with Gina was her helpful leadership in self-help groups at our Mc Killop United church, travelling on tour guided trips, and many country visits at her home on the farm. Her editing skills when I was writing children's books was most appreciated. Wishing peace and strength to her family. Marie

Sincere condolences to Pat and family on Gina's passing. She was an amazing person, always smiling and forever grateful for her blessings and friends. We spent many hours with Alex and Gina and her best friend Dorothy doing great counseling and learning how to be " the best that we could be " and caring for each other and helping others. She was a very caring woman, and we're diminished by her passing.
