VALERIE POULIN, of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael's Care Centre on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 65 years.

She was born in Toronto, Ontario, on June 14, 1951. Valerie was a gifted and passionate grandmother and scrapbooker. Her greatest love, however, was her Lord and Saviour Jesus, who she served through her beloved church as an active member of the St. Martha's Catholic Church community.

Valerie is survived by her sister Bev (Jack) Mayes, her children, Vanessa Poulin, Lindsay (Shawn) Klein, Danny (Mel) Poulin and Jesse Poulin as well as 11 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. with Deacon Michael Pollard officiating.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MARTHA'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB., on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Roque Pereira, Celebrant.

I loved the way your mom read scripture. Her voice gently replayed in my mind the passages she read with that comforting warm voice of hers. She had talent she may not have or wouldn't in her humble way recognize. I found this word for her in scripture. "I came to you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. My speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a powerful demonstration by the Spirit, so that your faith might not be based on men's wisdom but on God's power. (1 Cor. 2:3-5)"

Good Morning, I am sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. You will miss her dearly because you cannot see her but know, she is only a veil away and will look in your eyes as you continue to live in this beautiful world God has given us. Vanessa. I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember your Mom from Save On Foods when I was a cashier there. You and your mom always seemed to pick my check out and I enjoyed serving you.
