Upon his return he spent time working on the family farm. He married the love of his life, Tammy Perry of Fort Macleod. Following their marriage Kevin, Tammy and Kyle made their home in Stirling, Alberta where he resided until his passing.

Kevin loved farming and ranching. He also had a creative side which lead him to entering a career in construction, specializing in historical restoration with his son Kyle working at his side. His handiwork can be found in many projects in downtown Lethbridge.
