It is with heavy hearts that the family of BARRY WAYNE PETERSON, beloved husband of Sandie (Waddle) Peterson, announces his unexpected passing at home on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
Barry was the first of three sons, born May 3, 1957 in Lethbridge to Herb & Shirley (Evernden) Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Sandie; daughters: Rosie Payne (Eric) and their children, Sophia and Samuel; Katie Casey (Dave) and her daughter, Ava; his mother, Shirley Peterson; brothers, Kevin (Jennifer) and their daughter, Lauren; Glen (Mia) and their daughters, Skye and Zara. He also leaves to mourn his faithful four-legged companion, Billy.
He was predeceased by his father, Herb, in 2009.
Barry went to school in Lethbridge and, after graduating, became an electrician and worked on such places as the Buffalo Jump, Raymond Hospital, and many others. In 1996, he purchased Lethbridge's Harley-Davidson dealership as motorcycles were a passion he shared with his dad. He took great pride in his family-run business and always tried to be fair with his customers.
Barry was a warm and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend who always put his family first. He loved them dearly and was very proud of his kids and grandkids.
We will all miss him terribly.
It's been an awesome journey, love! Have a great ride on the other side BEAR.
Due to the current gathering restrictions, a Private Family Service and Graveside Service will be held. A Memorial Ride in Barry's honour will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wood's Homes at: www.woodshomes.ca/how-you-can-...

Please accept my deepest sympathy Eric and Family, know that we are thinking about you buddy!
Sandie, Rosie, Eric, Katie and Dave and the rest of the family, our prayers are with you in this difficult time.
My heart is with you all as you go through this most difficult time in life of the passing of someone who was so dear to you. My husband, Eric, passed away just 4 days prior to God taking Barry home. Although I did not meet Barry in person, Eric spoke about him & his family, especially following his many trips into your Harley Davidson family operated business. Eric purchased his motorcycle from Barry that he treasured for the 6 years he owned it- 2014 Ultra Limited Electra Glide. I am sure Barry & Eric are enjoying riding their motorcycles together! May the memories you have of Barry & the Legacy that he leaves behind, bring you all great comfort & Peace in the days ahead. God Bless, Linda Vogel
My deepest sympathy to the family. Rest in peace Barry

Our condolences from my wife Leslie and Lawrence J Vogel to the entire Peterson families, and wanted to thankyou for always putting a big smile on my brothers face which we also had recently lost, he was a avid Harley rider and owner, and enjoyed coming to the shop for many things which I heard of, hoping you all find peace throughout this difficult time and thankyou for being such a huge part in so many peoples lives in the entire community Barry will never be forgotten.
Sandie, Rosie, Katie and Families - So sorry to hear about Barry - life doesn't always go as we want it to, but I think it is a blessing he passed quickly. He was 2 years older than Al was when he died (suddenly), and it is far too young to leave this life. I'm sure he, Al, Herb and others are having great rides together! Take care of yourselves and keep his memories alive.
