PETER SCHWARZ, beloved husband of Marilyn Schwarz of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the age of 57 years. Besides his loving wife, Peter is survived by his daughter Kari (Tony) Davis of Cyprus, son Erik Schwarz of Lethbridge, grandchildren Teagan and Dylan, brothers Albert, Alex and Alvin, sisters Annie, Olga and Zena as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father August and mother Alvina. Peter was born in Germany on April 29, 1950, immigrating with his family to farm in the Picture Butte area in 1951. By 1953 the family had grown and they moved to Lethbridge. He attended Bowman Elementary and Hamilton Jr. High School. In 1974 Peter and Marilyn were married on July 20. The same year he began working for Atco Gas, operating heavy equipment. The last 10 years he had been working as a meter reader out of the Fort Macleod agency. Peter’s passion was riding his motorbike. He rarely gave up the opportunity to ride the open roads. Peter was an active member of Southern Alberta Bikers. He also loved camping and fishing with family and friends. Peter will be sadly missed by his family, numerous friends and co-workers. A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
