Perverziff, Blanche

BLANCHE PERVERZIFF, passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Society West Highland Centre, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the age of 95 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, George Perverziff, her devoted daughter Bonnie Scott and husband Tom Scott, grandsons Jeremy Perverziff and Brian (Charissa) Perverziff and their children Duncan and Kaylie.

Blanche was predeceased by her loving son Dennis, her sisters Emilie Younie, Mary Brandeis, Anne Turlik, Pauline Locke and brother Frank Brown. She will be forever remembered by her nieces, Anne Gillin, Jean Ramage, Connie (Norm) Maurice, Dianne (Floyd) Friend, her nephews, Gordon (Sharon) Turlik, Ken (Donna) Turlik, Gerald Locke, Doug (Cheryl) Brown, Wayne Brown, Gary Brown and sister-in-law Billy Slavich as well as additional extended family members.

Blanche was born in Bellevue (Maple Leaf), Alberta, the youngest child of Frank and Pauline Brown. Later, the family moved to the Park Lake District. She attended a country school, walking the distance with her sisters. This petite, energetic young woman helped her father on the farm, worked as a sales clerk and had a passion for music. Although she had no formal training, she could play the piano and even became the singer in a local band.

Blanche married the love of her life in 1944 and was a co-partner in her husband's trucking business. She and George provided a loving home environment for their children. Outside the home, she enjoyed working in retail ladies' wear. Her devotion to family extended to being care-giver to her ailing grandmother and mother. Blanche was a fabulous homemaker and cook. She took such pride in having family members sit around the dining room table to enjoy her spectacular meals. Never was she too exhausted. She became a member of a square dance organization and a bowling team (The Musketeers). She cherished the vacations to Las Vegas, the trip across Canada and their holiday in Hawaii.

A special thank you to the staff at the West Highlands Centre, the many doctors and nurses, Home Care staff and Family Services. Their professional care and dedication is greatly appreciated. You will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery.
