PERCIVAL STAFFORD

MR. PERCIVAL ABNER STAFFORD passed away at the Lethbridge Extendicare on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the age of 89 years. He is survived by his children Donna of Lethbridge and Larry (Ardis) of Nanton, grandchildren; Clayton (Tammie) Stafford of Drayton Valley, Teresa (Ashref) Jeeva of High River, Carolena Kaszas of Vancouver and Jaqueline Kaszas of Edmonton as well as 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Genevieve in 1986 and sisters Tressa in 1967 and Patricia in 2005. Percy was born and raised at Nanton, Alberta and farmed with his wife Genevieve until 1974 when they moved to Lethbridge. There he pursued his interests in lapidary, computers and community service. He maintained his ties to the farm for several years by helping with the harvest. Following the death of his wife in 1986 he became involved with the Lethbridge Senior Centre and continued this involvement until his health began to deteriorate. A Memorial Service will be held at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 - 15th Avenue South, Lethbridge on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Terry Shillington officiating. In memory of Percy, donations may be made to the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization, 500 - 11th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1G 4G7.
