Pedersen, Kent Arvid John

KENT ARVID JOHN PEDERSEN, beloved son of Linda Pedersen and Bent Pedersen (Barb Vos) and loving brother to Tami Pedersen, passed away surrounded by family, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at the age of 39 years, due to complications sustained in a pedestrian accident.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister Tami, nieces Ashley and Brynley, great nephews Greyson and Eastyn, grandmother Henny Pedersen, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his special four legged friend, Lexi.

Kent was born on February 29, 1976 at St. Michael's Hospital in Lethbridge. He attended Our Lady of the Assumption School, St. Francis Junior High, Catholic Central High School and Lethbridge College.

Kent filled his days with sports, friends, Facebook, many hugs and Coca-Cola. He truly lived his life. Kent was a proud team member of the Integrated Bowling League and looked forward to Friday night games and seeking out the highest score. Kent was an avid collector of team jerseys and proudly displayed all 45 of them... most of them Oilers, many of them signed. He loved to play Uno with his friends and had many intense games of Mental Blox with family, especially Grumpy. Kent loved music, karaoke nights, playing Sega and of course, pushing people in the pool. Kent loved his family and friends; late night / early morning text messages were not uncommon. There was never a dull moment at family events and holidays with Kent's speeches, jokes, and never ending picture taking. He was the Edmonton Oilers biggest fan and loved the Toronto Blue Jays just as much. He found as much joy listening to games on the radio or watching on TV as he did sitting in the stands; which he was fortunate enough to do on many occasions.

Kent was a huge part of the Lethbridge community through his work at PEAK Vocational Services, SAIPA and countless hours of volunteering his time.

He will be greatly missed and is forever in our hearts.

A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. with Deacon Cliff Bogdan officiating.

A Reception will follow the Funeral Service at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church Hall, 2405 - 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge.
