MARIE PAULINE HEALY, beloved mom, sister, grandma, great grandma and auntie, passed away at the Cardston Hospital on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the age of 72 years. Mom was tired so she was called home to join her loved ones. Pauline will be sadly missed by her beloved daughters Delia and Jessica (Lionel), sons Keith and Darcy (Charlene), precious grandchildren; Jacob and Marie as well as Jasmine, Gilmore, Janelle, Sissy, Darcelle, Mandy, Michelle and Hannah and great grandchildren; Darcy-James, Adam and Lilly Anna. She is also survived by four sisters; Theresa (late Stanley) Black Water, Donalda Big Throat, Veronica (Ray) Brewer and Christine (George) Good Dagger, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Big Throat, Catherine and Barbara Healy , brothers-in-law Tyrone and Stanley Healy and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her beloved husband George Healy Sr., parents Harry and Clara Big Throat, brothers Horace and Max Big Throat and Philip Aberdeen, sisters Alberteen Plume, Celina Twigg, Evelyn Twigg and Veronica Big Throat, sons George Jr., Gilmore and Max Healy, daughter-in-law Cheryl Bears Paw and numerous nieces and nephews. In the early 1960’s mom began working for the Blood Band administration and then worked as an accountant for the Blood Tribe Social Development for 11 years. Mom completed her education at St. Mary’s Residential School and then went on to Red Deer for 2 years and graduated from the Henderson Business College in Lethbridge. Her hobbies were riding horses and sheep herding. She was also a strong devoted Catholic. Pauline married the love of her life George Healy Sr. and together they raised six beautiful children. Mom was a very caring person and was known for her big heart and love for everyone. Besides her caring nature, mom will be remembered for her sense of humour and uncanny wit. She was known to put a smile on your face and made everyone laugh. A Wake Service will be held at WHITE CALF CHAPEL, Standoff on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MARY’S IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Blood Reserve on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. Interment to follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
