Paul is survived by his loving wife Sharon of 55 years, son Trevor, daughter Becky (Scott), his sister Shelley (Dave), numerous cousins, and his grand-dog Joon.

Known for his kind and gentle nature Paul was generous and loving, and people were drawn to his positivity. Throughout his life he enjoyed being outside fishing and camping, looking at old cars, and his garden flowers. His also enjoyed the laughs and conversations with all his coffee buddies.

Paul had a proud and distinguished career spending 32 years with the Lethbridge Fire Department, retiring in 2007 as the Chief Fire Marshall. While not quite ready to fully retire, Dad joined the City of Lethbridge School Bus Driver team from 2009 - 2015. He loved all the young people who rode his buses and they put many a great smile on his face.

Paul’s positivity carried on even in the years he battled cancer and he will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

The family thanks the entire team at the Jack Addy Cancer Centre, the team on 4C at the Chinook Regional Hospital, and Cornerstone Funeral Home for the amazing care of Paul.

Everyone is welcome to attend a come and go reception with the family at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. We look forward to hearing your memories.

Sharon and family Jill and I were so sorry to hear of Pauls passing. Paul was truly a leader to look up to. His gentle nature and calm demeanour were traits which made him so successful as a Chief and brother. He truly was one of the "Good Guys". I will always remember him. Glen

Wanted to send our condolences to all of you in the passing of Paul. Our family enjoyed seeing Paul at the Fire Dept., as him and my Dad Hugo Fiedler were firefighters together. We are sad to hear of Paul’s passing and our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Connie & Scott Boulton, July 5, 2024

Sharon, we are so sorry to hear about Paul's passing. Our visit with Paul at the cancer center in June was a real good visit, not knowing it would be our last. We were both doing our treatments and had chairs close to each other. We had a few laughs as we talked. I'm so glad we got that special time with him. We wish you well Sharon. Rest in peace buddy. I had the great opportunity to work with Paul while he was the Chief Fire Marshall in the "Old Courthouse". Even though he was not directly my boss, he had a big influence on me. I watched his leadership of the members of the Fire Prevention Bureau and admired the way he handled things. He was well respected in the department and left the bureau in fine shape when he retired. Although he wanted to, he never did throw his computer "out of the window" when he left! Rest easy brother-we have it from here!

Dave Heatherington, July 5, 2024

Becky and family. It was such a pleasure working with your dad in Fire Prevention and getting to know him. Paul was down to earth, respected and aways made me feel at ease. What a great man!

Chris Ingold, July 5, 2024

Sharon and family, we are unable to attend the come and go for Paul. I so enjoyed working for Paul, he was my favorite boss (besides Doug). We had a good group working together so much that they played jokes on each other. Like Russ Brayne and the sheep, Russ having to rescue the lamb from his dugout and then Russ giving Paul the pig that ran around his office. Paul was special and he will be missed. He fought a great battle. Our prayers and condolences are with everyone. Carol and Joe Karl

Carol Karl, July 5, 2024

Rest in peace Paul, to the Little family sincere condolences on your loss. I met Paul many years ago when he was the Chief Fire Marshall at the Lethbridge Fire Department. He was a true gentleman with a quiet sense of humour, warm smile and great knowledge of fire related investigations. I also had the pleasure of working with him at the City Of Lethbridge School Bus Operations where he was a standout driver and loved by his kids and co-workers. He had a calming influence on his kids that was noted by everyone. I will miss him.

Bob Cottingham, July 4, 2024

My sympathies in the passing of Paul. I was always thrilled when I could replace Carol Karl when she was off so I could work for him.

Sharon, Becky and Trevor I am so sorry to hear of dad and husbands passing. Bless his soul! He was a good man and leader at the Lethbridge Fire Department. He was a friend and partner which I will Cherish forever.

I met Paul when I was serving with the Lethbridge Police Service, and Paul serving with the Fire Department. Paul and I worked together with the youth in public education programs and public awareness programming. Later we worked together again when I was in Forensics and Paul the Chief Fire Marshall. Paul was a great mentor and had a real passion for the children. He was very much appreciated by all and will be missed as one of the good guys. My condolences and best wishes to the family.

Becky and the Little Family...my condolences on the passing of Paul. Years back, when I was at the Exhibition, Paul cordially assisted me in situations that had to do with Fire Safety. I always appreciated his banter....and his candid manner. My prayers are with you.
