RAYMOND ‘PAUL’ BLACKMER, beloved son of Raymond and Joyce Blackmer of Milk River, passed away suddenly near Edmonton on Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the age of 39 years. Besides his loving parents, he is survived by his brother Ken (Vanessa) Blackmer of Milk River, sister Donna (Brent) Peterson of Milk River, 3 nephews and 1 niece, Dustin and Tristan Peterson and Trey and MacKenzie Blackmer. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Jim and Thelma Blackmer of Milk River as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Leon and Mac Chapman. Paul was born March 23, 1968 in Milk River and resided his whole life there. His passion was truck driving, beginning his career at the early age of 18 years. Paul’s love of his life was his niece and nephews, spending many hours with them. He enjoyed water skiing, horseback riding, motorcycling and snowboarding as well as the many adventures he had with his friends. Driving his trucks, traveling to Mexico and spending time with his family were highlights of his life. A Prayer Service will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Main Street, Milk River on Sunday, October 21, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Milk River on Monday, October 22, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Joseph T. Kalathiparambil Celebrant. Interment to follow at Milk River Cemetery. In memory of Paul, donations may be made to the Milk River Ambulance and Fire Department, Box 270, Milk River, Alberta, T0K 1M0.
