She was predeceased by her first husband Russell Brayne.

Trish was born in Denniston, New Zealand. She and Russell lived in Kaiapoi, New Zealand until 1973 when the family moved to Middlebury, Indiana, then Winfield, BC, Vulcan, AB and finally, Lethbridge, AB.

Trish was a journalist and worked for several newspapers during her career, as well as a freelance writer. She was The Lifestyle Editor for the Lethbridge Herald until retirement.

Trish married Don Hagen on July 25, 1998. Together, they loved travelling, camping and drives over the Logan Pass.

Sadly, Trish was diagnosed with dementia and resided at Prairie Ridge in Raymond until her passing.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the incredible staff in Cottage #1 at the Raymond Good Sams who loved and cared for Trish.

Trish will be laid to rest in a private Family Graveside Service.

My condolences to you all. I worked with Trish at The Herald. She was a terrific mentor and so encouraging. May she rest in peace.

Andy & family - sincere condolences from fellow Kiwis -

Neville & Adele Downs, February 26, 2024

I worked with Trish at the Herald for a number of years as a Waterton correspondent. She was thoughtful and wonderful to deal with and was always on the ball. She dropped into our cabin from time to time and got to meet my husband who every much enjoyed her observations about Lethbridge. Loosing a loved one is always difficult and we want to extend our sympathy to the family. Chris and Jim Morrison
