PASCAL (PAUL) MARTELL

Mr Pascal (Paul) Reginald Martell, husband of the late Victoria Martell and formerly of Edmonton, passed away peacefully one day short of his 81st birthday at St. Michaels Health Centre on Thursday, February 27, 2014. He is survived by his daughter Barbara (John) Lypka of Rosetown, SK; granddaughters Roxanne (Darren) Lypka, Britt (Mark) Rumph, and Christine (Barry) Thompson and great-granddaughter Leah. Also, surviving are his siblings Edna, Gladys and Harold (Leona) of Nova Scotia, Flavian of Ontario, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Vicky\'s sister Angie (Marshall) Jaremco, niece Melanie Dunne and sons Braedan and Brett of Lethbridge, nephew Mark (Eloisa) Jaremco and Adam of Edmonton. Paul is predeceased by his parents Urban and Emma Martell, in-laws Dan and Annie Josul, siblings Evangeline, Oswald, Delia, Mary, Leonard, Sophie and Emeline. Paul left his home of L\'Ardoise, Cape Breton for Ontario in his teens and soon after to Alberta and worked as a truck driver for 50 years. He was very proud of his career and could spend many hours talking about his experiences on the road. Paul had a great sense of humour and we loved to watch him laugh until he had to pull his hankie out. He loved everything chocolate and was always ready to go for ice cream and you didn\'t have to ask what flavor. Paul will be well remembered and greatly missed. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home, no formal funeral service will be held. Burial of cremated remains to take place in Edmonton, AB at a later date.
