PALMER, HAROLD

HAROLD F. PALMER, beloved husband of Laureen Palmer of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on October 19, 2010 at the age of 65 years. Besides his loving wife Laureen of 42 years, he is survived by his two sons; Shaun and Tavin of Lethbridge, three grandchildren; Adam, Brenden and Teal. He is also survived by his twin brother Bob (Martha), sister Pat (Neil), whom he shared a very special bond with and sister-in-law Dr. Lynda Brown. He was predeceased by his parents Betty and Howard Palmer and mother and father in law Dave and Hazel Cooper. Harold was born on February 19, 1945 alongside his twin brother Bob to Howard and Betty Palmer. Graduating from LCI, he started his career in automotives in 1965. Met the love of his life Laureen and had two wonderful sons Shaun and Tavin. Harold along with his twin brother Bob, known as the “Palmer Twins” loved fast hot cars! Coaldale Highway became infamous to them, (much like American Graffitti) Another passion in his younger years was hunting with his brother Bob and good friend Brian Dorren. Harold was very passionate about his career as a Partsman with Beny Chev Olds and Davis Pontiac. His knowledge of the industry was unsurpassed retiring due to illness in 2001. He was so proud of his three grandchildren; Adam, Brenden and Teal, even being instrumental in giving his only granddaughter her name. He enjoyed many weekends at home with them.
In accordance with Harold’s wishes there will be a private family graveside service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Tributes may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 724 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge, Alberta, T1H 2T1.or to Canadian Diabetes Association, 210D - 12 “A” Street North, Lethbridge, AB., T1H 2J1 Go Habs Go!
