GEORGIA ANN OTWAY (née Martin), beloved wife of the late Ernie Otway, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital due to complications from cancer, on Friday, July 28, 2023 at the age of 76 years.

Georgia is lovingly remembered by her daughter Samantha (Jim) of Lethbridge; and her son Doug (Amanda) and her two precious grandchildren, Taylor and Kaelyn, from Spruce Grove.

Besides her beloved husband, Ernie, she was predeceased by both of her parents; and all of her siblings, including: Phil Paquette (Phyllis), Dawn Weber (Tom), Richard Martin (Josie) and Douglas Martin, who sadly drowned in 1963 at the age of nine. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, Michelle, Mike and Hannah Supple, Dana and Garett Paquette, and Tom and Sean Weber, as well as her many nieces and nephews on Ernie's side.

Georgia was born in 1947 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, the second oldest of five children to Katherine and R?al Martin. At the age of eight months, Georgia was raised in Fort McMurray. She met her soulmate, Ernie, who was in the RCMP, in March 1970 and they were married in December 1970.

Georgia never let the grass grow under her feet, especially when her husband Ernie was alive. They enjoyed many activities, such as golfing and socializing with friends, as well as being very involved with the Legion.

Thank you to the staff at Chinook Regional Hospital and Jack Ady Cancer Centre.

At Georgia's request, no funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Georgia, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (cancer.ca)
