MRS. MAE OSAKA, beloved wife of the late Mr. Harry Osaka, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the age of 89 years.
She is lovingly survived by her children; Barbara (Brian) Philp of Campbell River, B.C., Karen (Tatsuo) Mizushima of Port Moody, B.C., Marilyn Osaka of Edmonton, A.B., Evelyn Osaka of Edmonton, A.B., Patricia (Douglas) Montgomery of Cochrane, A.B., Dr. Janice (Mickey) Noji of Coaldale, A.B., Mark Osaka of Lethbridge, A.B., and JoAnn Dragland of Calgary, A.B. Twelve grandchildren, Aja, Yuka (Vincent), Aya, Kent, Jason, David, Dr. Matthew, Jaime, Jessica (Derek), Benjamin, Lindsay and Jay and one great-grandson, Lucas.
She is also survived by sisters in law, Kikue, Kay, & Yumiko Osaka, Eleanor Katakami and Toki Watte.
She was predeceased by her parents, one brother Joe Watte and one daughter Daphne.
Mae and Harry farmed in Picture Butte area for many years until their retirement to Lethbridge. She loved her family and gardening, but her special love was her grandchildren. Mae was a loving mother & grandmother who will be sadly missed.
There will be a private family service at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, with Reverend Yasuo Isumi officiating.
