JASON OLY WHITE QUILLS, was called home, passing away at the Calgary Foothills Hospital on Friday, October 19, 2007 at the age of 32 years. He was a beloved father, brother, nephew, son and husband of Amanda Big Sorrel Horse/White Quills. Besides his loving wife Amanda, Oly is survived by his mother and father-in-law Louise (Paul Jr. Bare Shin Bone) Big Sorrel Horse and son Jade Melting Tallow of Kainai, mother Audrey Matt of Kodiak, Alaska, brothers Antonio (Charlene) Leon of Browning, Montana and Russell Matt Jr. of Kodiak, Alaska, sisters Anelisa Kittson of Butte, Montana and Johnell (Amen) Bull Calf of Kodiak, Alaska, nieces and nephews; Leon, Nikita, Malorey, Courtney, Keisha, Benny, Mariah and Tia, grandmother Alvina Crop Eared Wolf of Heart Butte, Montana, aunties; Janis (Clifford) Many Heads of Siksika, Kathy Four Horns of Calgary, Beverly Running Crane of Heart Butte, Montana, uncle Leo (Rocky) White Quills of Lethbridge as well as numerous cousins. Oly will be missed by his best auntie Adeline Singer and special cousin Pierson Singer of Kainai. Oly was predeceased by aunties Patsy White Quills (1990), Dolly Trotchie (1996), cousin Marnia White Quills (1999), grandpa’s Reggie Crop Eared Wolf (2000) and Leo White Quills (1994). Oly, as he was known to everyone, was born at the Cardston Municipal Hospital. He attended schools in Cardston and Calgary and was attending Red Crow Community College. Oly and Amanda were married on August 31, 2002 in Cutbank, Montana. Oly will be remembered by his friendliness and great sense of humour. A Wake Service will be held at WHITE CALF CHAPEL, Standoff on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at WHITE CALF CHAPEL, Standoff on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rocky Brave Rock officiating. Interment to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
