MILLS MRS. OLIVE LILLIAN MILLS, beloved wife of the late Mr. John Mills, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, January 2, 2013 at the age of 95 years. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Marilyn (Al) Sinclair of Lethbridge, two grandsons, John (Siarron) Sinclair of Calgary and Gabe Sinclair of Lethbridge as well as two sisters in law Evelyne Elder and Margaret Nafe. She was predeceased by her husband John (1915-1976) her parents George & Emma Elder, brothers Bill & Ray Elder, sisters in law, Dorothy Mills and Irene Elder and one brother in law Larry Nafe. Olive was born February 25, 1917 in Kipling, SK where she was raised and educated. She was fortunate to take piano lessons from her aunt and was the community organist. She played in a dance band for three years before she was married. Olive has always been active in the United Church, first at Lansdown United Church in Kipling, SK, St. James Church in Regina, SK and finally at McKillop United Church in Lethbridge. She taught piano lessons for nearly 40 years and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends and students. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Acres Care Centre for their wonderful care. Graveside Services will be held at RIVERSIDE MEMORIAL CEMETERY, 815 Assiniboine Avenue East, Regina, SK on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Cathy Coates officiating. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 3:00 P.M. at the home of Joyce & Pete Raczynski, 1357 Horace Street, Regina, SK. A Memorial Service will be planned at McKillop United Church at a later date.
