Anna was born in Ceniawa, Poland on May 9, 1926. She immigrated to Canada in May of 1950, arriving at Pier 21 in Halifax, NS. She continued her travels by train for many days, arriving in Lethbridge. Anna settled in Raymond where she worked on a sugar beet farm and at the Raymond Hospital.
Anna moved to Northwestern Ontario in 1955 where she lived until her retirement in 1991. She found the Ontario winters long, cold with too much snow to shovel; therefore deciding to move back to Lethbridge, where she resided until her death on September 4, 2014.
When it came to gardening and flowers, Anna had a green thumb and always had beautiful plants in her home. She was an amazing cook and it was said she could make a pot of soup from a rock.
Our Mother was a kind, loving lady who worked hard all of her life, she passed down her strong work ethic to her children. She always told us, "If you want to get ahead in life, you had to use your two hands and work hard."
Anna lived her life for her family, ruled with love. She touched many hearts and made many friends throughout her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
At Anna's request, no service will be held. A Celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
