O’HARA THOMAS JAMES “JIM” O’HARA, beloved husband of Mrs. Ethel O’Hara of Bow Island, formerly of Milk River, passed away at the Bow Island Health Centre on Monday, March 7, 2011 at the age of 96 years. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ethel, their son Elroy (Edith) and their children Todd (Rita), Kelvin (Lori) and Kim (Scott) MacDonald, their great grandchildren Bryan (Kristen), Karmen (Kevin), Meagan, Emily, Jordan, Darian and as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his parents William and Sarah, a daughter, Shirley, sisters Charlotte and Alberta, as well as brothers Johnny, Tommy and Bill. Jim was born on September 5, 1914 in the old ranch house along the Milk River. On November 16, 1940 he married the love of his life, Ethel Chambers. This past November they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Funeral Services will be held at the MILK RIVER CIVIC CENTER, 321- 3 Avenue NE, Milk River, Alberta, on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Mary Young officiating.
