Nick Romanchuk
NICHOLAS ‘NICK’ ROMANCHUK, beloved husband of Julianna Romanchuk of Lethbridge, passed away very peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the age of 91. Nick leaves behind five stepchildren: Stefan Hironimus of Selkirk, MB, John (Jan) Hironimus, of Strathmore, AB, Mike (Claudette) Hironimus of Coaldale, AB, Julie Thomspon (Greg Pargee) of Gliechen, AB and Katie Bullock (Doug Kowal) of Lethbridge, AB. Nick had twelve grandchildren which he loved to do the chicken dance with and fifteen great grandchildren. Nick was predeceased by his son, Glenn Romanchuk of Dawson Creek, B.C., sisters; Francias, Helen, Daisy and Anne and brothers Bill and George. Nick was born and raised in Lethbridge. He worked at National Salvage for many years until he retired. Nick loved gardening, yard work, dancing and playing cards. Nick’s family would like to thank Park Meadows Cottage staff for their love and compassion that they gave him, the nurses on 3C that have cared for him and everybody else that had an impact on his life. A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 11 A.M. with Major Glen Habkirk officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society, #402, 740 - 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 0N9.
