NICK ‘MIKOLAJ’ PAZIUK, beloved husband of Anne Paziuk and father of Richard Paziuk of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with his family at his side after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Nick is survived by his loving wife Anne and his son Richard of Lethbridge. Nick was born in Poland and after the war met Anne, who became his wife and the love of his life. They immigrated to Canada in 1950 where Nick enjoyed 31 years of service with Agriculture Canada before retiring in 1984. Nick’s life was one of service on and off the job. He was active in Scouts Canada, the Knights of Columbus, the Polish Canadian Association of Lethbridge where he served as President and the Polish Canadian Congress, Alberta Branch. In retirement Nick loved curling, gardening with Anne, travel and camping with his family, photography and stamp collecting. A very special thanks to the nurses, staff and especially the PCA’s of St. Michael’s Health Centre, 2WB for their loving care of Nick. You are very special people. The family also wishes to thank Reverend Tim Boyle and Dr. C. X. Vander Poll for helping Nick pass on with peace and dignity. Rest easy Dad, your fight is over. You will live in our hearts forever. At Nick’s request, no service will be held, cremation has taken place.
