NETTIE HAMRE

MRS. NETTIE HAMRE, beloved wife of Mr. Harold Hamre of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, August 26, 2007 at the age of 69 years. Nettie is survived by her daughter Judy (Terry) Klein of Aldergrove, BC, Susan Sewers of Lethbridge, Jane (Derrick) Hill of Lethbridge and one son, Don of Kelowna, BC, as well as her beloved grandchildren Justin, Tyler, Darcy, Shawn, Brittany, Karli and Shay. Nettie will also be dearly missed by her sisters, Mary (Bill) Matheson of Victoria, BC, Lydia (Howard) Evans of Sicamous, BC, Helen (Mitch) Trenholm of Wetaskawin, AB, Minnie (Bob) Sander of Kelowna, BC and one brother Mike (Teresa) Pernarowski of Grande Prairie, AB. She was predeceased by two brothers, Leonard and Lawrence, one sister Ann and her parents Sam and Barbara. Born in Woking, AB on September 12, 1937, Nettie married her true love Harold on May 8, 1958 in Burnaby, BC. Nettie and Harold lived in Surrey, BC, Calgary, AB, Cambridge, ON and settled in Lethbridge in 2001. Nettie will be remembered for her love of family, for her positive outlook on life and her love of traveling. Nettie and Harold found their dream retreat at Rosen Lake, BC and enjoyed many summers fishing together with the family and winters X-country skiing at their hide-a-way at Rosen Lake. A Celebration of Nettie’s Life will be held at CORNESTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Friday, August 31, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Alan Woodroffe officiating. Those who wish may make Memorial Donations in memory of Nettie to a charity of their choice.
