NELSON, CYRIL EDWIN

MR. CYRIL EDWIN NELSON, beloved husband of Mary Nelson, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2010 in Lethbridge at the age of 80 years.

Cyril is survived by his wife Mary, children Randy (Sheila) and Anne Marie (John), sister Doreen (Vern), as well as grandsons David, Joshua, Zachary, Christian and Luke along with many nieces and nephews.

Cyril was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on September 20, 1929. He was the proprietor of Knowles Gulf in Moose Jaw for many years and loved his church, St. Andrews United, nature, travelling and music. Most of all, however, he treasured time with his family.

A Service of Remembrance to celebrate Cyril’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive, South, Lethbridge, AB., on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend John Burrill officiating.

Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, a memorial in Cyril’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317-10th Street South, Lethbridge, AB., T1J 2M7, or the Alzheimer’s Society, 402-740 4th Avenue, South, Lethbridge, AB., T1J 0N9.
