MYRNA LYNN CHURCHILL, ex-wife of Dennis Churchill, beloved friend of Joe Bukowski, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away at St. Michael’s Health Care Centre on November 11, 2008 at the age of 61 years. Myrna is the loving mother of Bradley Churchill of Calgary and Kimberly Hatfield-Churchill of Lethbridge. Myrna is survived by her four grandchildren, Taylor Churchill; Katie-Jo Hatfield; Kassidy Hatfield; and Korinna Hatfield; her brother Ken (Nancy) McCargar and their children Graham and Kelly; her brother Grant (Joan) McCargar and their children Steven, Melissa, Elliot, Nathan, Kim and Michelle; and her sister Marsha (Maurice) Bompais and their children Robert, Malinda and Janelle. Myrna was predeceased by her father Norman McCargar and her mother Rosalie Forrest. Myrna was born in Calgary, Alberta on December 25, 1946. Myrna was raised and educated in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She was an alumni at the Medicine Hat High School, Medicine Hat College School of Nursing, 1977 and the University of Lethbridge Bachelor of Nursing in 1982. Prior to choosing nursing as a career, Myrna worked at the Medicine Hat Public Library, also as an A.G.T. telephone operator and as a ticket clerk at the CPR Station. Myrna retired in 2007 after 25 years as a Public Health Nurse in Lethbridge. Myrna was involved in past participation on advisory boards for local community Day Care Centre, Nicholas Sheran Community School, Medical Chair of the Special Olympics Provincial Summer Games, and activities of United Nurses of Alberta, and College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA, formerly AARN). Recently, Myrna was a trustee with the Lethbridge Public Library and Board Member of Chinook Arch Regional Library System. Myrna had numerous interests and hobbies and was not quite the winner of the biggest fabric stash. A Celebration of Myrna’s Life will be held at the Southminster United Church, 1011 - 4th Avenue South, Lethbridge, on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. with Reverend Lois Punton officiating.
