KUNIYE “FRANCES” MURAKAMI, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Good Samaritans Park Meadows Village on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at the age of 96 years. She was born in Prince Rupert, BC, on May 18, 1915. Frances is survived by her children: Cecil (Miki) Murakami of Lethbridge, Maxin (Patrick) Bruce of Calgary, and Wendy Peake of Lethbridge; grandchildren Mark (Shelley) Murakami of Calgary, Scott (Debbie) Murakami of Lethbridge, Axel Bruce of Calgary and Sarah-Jane Bruce of Calgary; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Gen (Gene) Miki of Hamilton, ON, Shiro Miki of Etobicoke, ON, Jim (Joy-deceased) Miki of Vernon, BC and Harry (Kaye) Miki of Mississauga, ON. She was predeceased by sisters Jean Yoshida and Rose Yoshida. The family would like to thank Dr. Kizuk, Dr. Roland Ikuta, Home Care and the care givers at Good Samaritans for their wonderful care provided to our Mother. A Private Family Funeral Service was held on September 17, 2011.
