It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lance Jacob Mueller on Friday, March 19th, 2010, at the age of 58 years.
Lance had a long and distinguished career in the film and television industry that spanned over 35 years. For the past 20 years he was an owner, a founder, and the President & Chief Operating Officer of the White Iron group of companies. White Iron is a privately held production & post production company based in Calgary. Prior to that, he worked for the CTV affiliates in Lethbridge and Calgary. His career began as a cameraman, he worked as an operations manager and went on to become general manager of CFCN Productions in Calgary. Lance was recognized with two life time achievement awards, a Billington Award from the film and television industry of Alberta, and an Anvil Award from the advertising community of Calgary. He was a long time member and past director of the Canadian Film and Television Producers Association. He also served as a Director & Vice President of The Alberta Motion Pictures Industries Association. For many years Lance gave generously to the community and to many charitable organizations.
He is survived by his beloved children Landon, Layton (Kim), Lacey Mueller; his grandchildren Sierra and Hailey; his father Jacob Mueller, mother Dorothy Bolton; sisters Cheryl Stotz (Jay), Judy Lightle; brothers Layne Mueller (Linda), and Tim Mueller (Sandy); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He will also be greatly missed by his business partners and dear friends, Jean Merriman and Cliff Fryers and the entire White Iron family.

A Funeral Service will be held at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 4717 - 24 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Don Brunning officiating.
A Memorial Service will be held at HOTEL ARTS, 119-12th Ave., SW, Calgary, AB on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 1:00 P.M.
