LENARD WESLEY MOORMAN, Beloved husband of Doris Ann Moorman of Stirling, passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the age of 63 years.
Besides his loving wife of 33 years, Len is survived by his three children: Lennie (Len Jr.) Moorman, Katherine Poelman and Nicole Poelman; eight grandchildren: Nya, Dominic, Levi, Karson, Harvey, Brayden, Abigail and Olivia.
Len is predeceased by his parents Jerome (Jerry) and Louise, his brother Bob and brother-in-law Al Park.
Len was born on Christmas Day, 1958 in Penticton, British Columbia, weighing one pound, five ounces and three months premature but he defied the odds. Growing up, the odds continued in his favour. With help from the Shriners Children's Hospital, Len was able to walk. Riding on Eddie Shacks shoulders and meeting the Queen were some of his fondest memories.
Doris met Len in 1990, and it was love. Moving to Alberta in 1998, and getting married in 2000, this is where home had become. Len was a self-taught mechanic and loved anything with a good rumble. Over the years, his collection grew from hockey cards to cookie jars. He always found a deal.
Len was a proud father, a devoted husband and loving friend. He was not shy to speak his mind, but he had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need.
The memories will live on.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 - 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 2:00 P.M with Patrick Siedlecki officiating. The Celebration of Life will be livestreamed and may be accessed via Lenard's obituary on the Cornerstone website.
