Lillian was born in Fort Macleod on November 29, 1930 to Rose (Lemire) and Omer Diamond. She graduated from high school in Blairmore and went on to obtain her teaching certificate from the University of Alberta. After several years of teaching, Lillian met and married the love of her life, Ivan Millar. They soon settled in Lethbridge to work and raise their family.
Lillian was a teacher, a real estate agent and most notably, an unsung volunteer with many, many organizations. Lillian was a voracious reader, she loved to paint and write and was very interested in world events. Lillian touched many lives with her compassion, kindness and patience. She will be remembered for her quick wit, positive outlook on life and the ability to make us all feel we were the most important person in the world.
Please join with us to celebrate Lillian's life on Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 P.M. at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB.

I only knew Lillian briefly, as a nurse at the facility she was living at. I loved to sit and talk to her, And she always remembered the name of my son and fiance, and never once failed to ask about them. She always asked to see pictures of my wedding dress, and asked me every night how the plans were coning along. She made me laugh all the time, and she truly felt like family to me. She will be dearly missed not only by myself but by all the employees who were lucky enough to meet her.
To Lillian's family. Please know how much I treasured my friendship with your Mom. She was a very special lady and I am saddened to know I can no longer pick up the phone to visit her across the miles. I can honestly say, I loved my friend Lillian and will miss her terribly. We would often watch Lawrence Welk together and later a movie on Saturdays when I lived in River Ridge before I moved to Vancouver. She was so proud of her kids and grandkids. Rest in peace dear friend. You are loved by so many. Sincerely Lil Johnson
