Along with his wife, he is lovingly remembered by his son Steven McCulley of Lethbridge, daughter Kym McCulley (Gord Shatull) of Calgary, son Greg McCulley (Roong Bansang) of Thailand, granddaughters Eryn Enco (John) of Calgary, Kaela McCulley (Justin Wyrozub) of Edmonton, and Kevie Dominguez (Edwin Sanovan) of Salt Lake, UT, as well as many great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother Roy McCulley (Ursula) of Calgary, sister Jean McCulley of Picture Butte as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his granddaughter Jouying Patricia McCulley of Thailand, parents James and Kathleen, brother Ginger McCulley, sisters Kathy McCulley and Nan Timm, and in-laws Horace and Gwen Ayling.
Jim was born and raised in Medicine Hat, AB. In 1969 Jim, Pat and family moved to Lethbridge where he owned and operated the north side Dairy Queen.
Jim was a member of several different organizations, however was most passionate about being a Shriner. He wore his fez with great dedication and was very proud of what it represented. Jim remained active in the Shriners and proudly served as Potentate of Al Azhar Calgary in 1995. In the many years as a member, he formed a great number of cherished friendships.
Jim loved travel and was never happier than when he was behind the wheel of his motorhome.
Unfortunately, Jim recently suffered a heart attack from which he never recovered. He will be deeply missed.
Our family would like to say thank you to the 5A staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital for the care he received during his time there.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring with a date and time to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
