PATRICIA MAY MARYANCIK, beloved wife of the late John "Budd" Maryancik, passed away peacefully with her loving son and daughter-in-law at her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the age of 87 years.
Patricia is survived by her son Paul (Valerie), son Phil, daughter Roxanne (Bob), sister Frances (Joe) Vanderbeek as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she took great pride in and loved it when they would come and visit. Patricia was predeceased by her loving husband John "Budd" Maryancik; her grandson Graham Maryancik; her parents John and Erma Graham and her brother James Graham.
Patricia was born in Cardston on May 13, 1927 and was the second child of John and Erma Graham. She briefly live in Waterton as a child before moving to Calgary and then Lethbridge in her teens. Her middle name "May", came from her aunt Eva May. She spent a lot of time with Eva and was very fond of her. Patricia's love of Boston Terriers began as her aunt Eva had a long string of them. Pat loved all animals.
Pat was an excellent singer. She was a member of the Anne Campbell Choir in her teens, was an outstanding figure skater when she was younger and always encouraged others to skate by offering to help them learn and grow in their abilities. Pat was a talented tap dancer and artist from a very young age. Her paintings were hung in the homes of friends and family. Pat's homes always reflected her love of colour and design. She took great pride in her yard and her flowers as she and Budd spend a lot of time in their yard, planning, planting and just enjoying life and the fruits of their labour in the yard.
For decades, her home was our family's base for Christmas', where everyone was welcome. She put a feast on the table that all who attended remember to this day. No Christmas dinner was complete without at least one batch of her famous Moose Milk, which contained several different types of alcohol, which always brought a smile to everyone's face as you couldn't have just one glass.
At Pat's request, there will be no formal funeral service.
She will be joining Budd in Mountain View Cemetery, who has been waiting patiently for her so they can enjoy their view overlooking the coulees together.
