Mary was born in Kuzmino, Czechoslovakia and moved with her family to Canada in 1937. In 1941 she met and married her husband John. They bought a farm in Diamond City where they farmed for a number of years before moving to Lethbridge in 1949. She enjoyed baking; her prune and cheese filled buns were always welcomed on bake tables, so were her squares and pies and there was always a good supply of home made bread on hand. Over the years she attended regular church services and enjoyed singing in the choir. She took a loving interest in her children, grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was there when they were born, christened and watched them take their first steps. It was mom’s way of life and memories of her we will always treasure and cherish.
