It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing our dear mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, MARILYN JUNE (BOHNE) LOXTON, after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Michael’s Health Care Centre surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the age of 59 years. She leaves behind her son, Justin (Karla) Leleux and her daughter, Amber Leleux; grandchildren Beau and Jordan Tremblay and Mackenzie Leleux. Marilyn is survived by her brothers, Duane (Brenda) Bohne of Sherwood Park, AB and Marvin (Claire) Bohne of Lethbridge. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her father, Hugh Bohne in 1981 and her mother Zelma (Broadbent) Bohne in 1982. Marilyn was born in Lethbridge on February 28, 1949. She was raised in Aetna, AB and Lethbridge. She chose to work in the hospitality industry where she was valued as a ‘people person’. She was very independent, selfless and positive. Marilyn’s grandchildren were the joy of her life. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. The family wishes to thank the caring staff at St. Michael’s Palliative Care, the cancer unit and the palliative care team at the Chinook Regional Hospital, the LDS Elders for administering a blessing, and to everyone who supported Marilyn and her family during her illness. Respecting Marilyn’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at the WESTMINSTER HALL, 411 - 16 Street North, Lethbridge, on Friday, December 19, 2008, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Please dress casually. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
