Mom was born in Calgary, Alberta on March 28, 1938. She lived in Calgary, Lethbridge, Coutts as well as a year in South Africa.

Mom was a member of the Lethbridge Lakeview Lioness Club for several years. She made many friends while working at the bar and then at the Duty-Free store in Coutts. She enjoyed playing golf, gardening and country living. While living at The View in Lethbridge, mom tended the community garden boxes and many plants on her own deck. This brought her joy, a sense of home and a reminder of the country life she loved. Her favorite color was purple and wore lots of it! Mom always loved a good party and was never shy about dressing up in a costume.

Mom will forever remain in our hearts and will be deeply missed.

We are all saddened to hear of Marilyns passing. My wife Shar and I knew her and George from their time in Coutts. She had a clever wit and always greeted us with a smile. We will miss her.

It was so nice to meet and get to know Marilyn at Extendicare. She knew all the words to all the old songs I would play and I could tell how much she loved music. I'm so sorry for your loss.
