Margaret Truscott
Marg was predeceased by her husband Gerald Truscott and her brother Don Watson, both of whom she held close in her heart until her final days. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Lyon (Jim); her son Brent Killins; her five grandchildren: Kyle Morrice (Chelsea), Courtney Macmillan (Evian), Cassidy Sorochan (David), Kaylee Daychief (Josh) and Cooper Lyon; and her twelve great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Tate, Charlie, RJ, Jude, Jones, Henry, Ruthie, Donnie, Millie, Tao and Caswell. They were her greatest pride, and she gave them the kind of unconditional love that only a grandmother could.

Marg had a way of making everyone feel seen, cared for, valued, and she saw the best in everyone. She was extremely caring and kind and was respected by everyone she met. She was a great listener and had friendships that spanned 50+ years.
Marg lived for the little joys in life. She had a sweet spot for chocolate, enjoyed an occasional rum and coke, and delighted in the company of her family surrounding her. She rarely missed a sporting event, standing proudly on the sidelines as her grandkids’ biggest cheerleader. She always made time to ensure those she loved felt supported.
Marg loved her career at Royal Trust, where she had many fond fun memories and friendships that lasted until her passing.
For those who knew her, Marg was a saint in the truest sense. Her quiet strength, endless patience, and unwavering kindness shaped the lives of everyone around her. She had a way of making the world feel a little brighter and safer.
Marg’s absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her love lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her legacy is a reminder to love deeply, give freely, and always find joy in the laughter of those you hold dear.
Our family invites you to join us on June 8th, 2025, in the early afternoon as we honor Marg at the 4th Annual Guided Journeys “Walk to Remember.” Guided Journeys is a local registered charity in support of Hospice and Palliative Care. Marg was a huge supporter of this charity that her grandson Cooper is a board member of.
“Rest in peace, mom. You were the heart of our family, the light in our lives, and the best GG your grandkids could have ever asked for. I’ll miss you and love you forever.” – Leslie

Marg was such a special person. I was fortunate to work closely with her at Royal Trust. She was a mentor to me, fresh out of Uni. Marg was caring, respectful, calm, and the hardest worker. She knew everybody and everyone loved her. Every memory I have of Marg is joyful. My condolences to the whole family. Though days long and darkened By losses pain, May time stand still and love transcend Till we meet again
My husband Lloyd(deceased in 1987) worked with Marg at Royal Trust. He thought the world of her and admired her strong work ethic and gentle spirit. I enjoyed visiting with Marg at Royal Trust functions and appreciated her kind and thoughtful approach to life and relationships. My condolences to her family. Sincerely, Beth Warkentin Moose Jaw, SK
