MARGARET JOSEPHINE METCALFE was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Mary and Joseph Chervinski. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan J. Metcalfe in 1995. Marg will be sadly missed by her four daughters: Donna (Bill), Corrine (Doug), Bernice (Tim), and Aileen (Wes); her eight grandchildren: Rob (Tam), Suzi, Scott (Holly), Jeff (Nicole), Jud (Becky), Tina (Tim), Jennifer (Andrew) and Evan (Kathy), as well as nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and two sisters. Marg was predeceased by her parents, four brothers and six sisters.

Marg was a keen athlete throughout her life. She played softball for the Woolworth Babes and played hockey on tube (speed) skates. Marg was an avid and skilled bowler, golfer and curler. She enjoyed watching various sports, and she took delight in following her children's and grandchildren's activities and endeavours. She will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humor, her stoic manner, and her independent personality.

At Marg's request, there will not be a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Arthritis Society, The Alberta Cancer Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
