M.J. “JACKIE” EGAN, beloved sister of Jean Korth, passed away at West Highlands in Lethbridge early Saturday morning, January 19, 2013 after suffering years from a massive stroke. Jackie was predeceased by her very special husband Bill A. Egan, her precious parents Holly & Bob Turnbull, her loving brother-in-law Henry Korth. She is survived by her God-Children Pat (Darren) Ramage, Vicki (Brian) Bethel, Craig (Leah) Robinson, Kelly (Ryan) Casey, several cousins. Jackie was a railroaders’ daughter, her Canadian & Scottish grandfathers, her husband, herself and sister. Jackie worked in the passenger department of C.P. Rail in Lethbridge, Banff, Winnipeg and when she got married she came back home and worked until retirement with C.P. Transport. Jackie was a great volunteer and helped anyone in need. She was the greatest sister and she will be greatly missed. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting, weaving, cooking, woodworking and a great reader. She excelled in making all sorts of crafts. Jackie was basically a “jack of all trades”. Jackie was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church and Laurel Chapter O.T.S. A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 - Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 1:00 P.M., with Reverend Hugh Jack officiating. A reception will follow. Interment will be held in the spring, when she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
