It is with great sadness that the family of Sterlyn Ethan Many Shots announces his sudden passing on October 27, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 20 years old.
Sterlyn was born on September 14, 1998 at the Cardston Regional Hospital to his proud parents, Darolyne Ann Wells (Sid Black Rider) and the late Albert Louis Many Shots.
Sterlyn "Stewie" received his education in the Calgary area where he resided with his siblings and late father. At the age of 16, Sterlyn was selected to participate in the Siksika Summer Student Employment Program; this being his first time having a summer job. He had the honour of working as maintenance and youth worker at the Siksika Health Services where he gained most of his work experience. His summer employment was one of his proudest achievements which he boasted about to all his family and friends. He participated in several activities such as Run as One, Napi's Playground, cultural events and youth conferences. This is where he met one of his homies, Karly Black Kettle and mentor, Eddie Wolf Child.
On August 10, 2017, Sterlyn and Treysha became the proud parents to Scarlett Rosie Alby Quinn Many Shots. He was very proud to become a father and treasured every moment he had with his beautiful baby girl. He was always enthusiastic about all of Scarlett's firsts and would proudly share all the things she learned. Treysha and Scarlett were his pride and he truly loved them with all his heart.
Sterlyn was always known for his loving nature, his positive personality and comical sense of humour. Whenever one of his family members was having a hard time or was sad, Sterlyn had a special way of turning their day around with a big hug or one of his silly jokes.
He was always the happy-go-lucky young man in our family, never showing anger or negativity towards another person. Just as he stated in one of his Facebook posts, "I'm happy 23 hours & 55 minutes of the day but the only time I decide to be mad my whole family gets pissed off". Which was a true statement because of none of us ever really saw him mad. He truly had a heart of gold.
A majority of his life was spent with his siblings; baby brother, Luke and older siblings, Kealy and Tyson. They often said Kealy was their little mama because she always took care of her siblings. Kealy and Luke shared the most special bond with their brothers that most siblings wouldn't ever know. The love between the four of them was the greatest love shown to one another. The four of them learned to fight all of life's battles together and knew they had to stick together, which they all did.
Sterlyn showed nothing but love for his family, from sending an "I love you" daily to his mommy and siblings, to having a quiet moment with his great aunts or having a funny moment with uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him because he sure made an impact on the lives of all the people he met. He was a young man with a great heart and soul.
Sterlyn is survived by his loving partner Treysha and beautiful little girl Scarlett.
