Betty and Pat moved to Lethbridge in 1981 due to Pat’s ill health and she was his caregiver for the next 20 years until he passed away in 2002. She also worked at the Lethbridge Auxiliary Hospital for seven years, until her retirement in 1988. Betty loved tennis and was an active member of the Lethbridge Tennis Club for 20 years, where she met many special friends. Betty also enjoyed painting, gardening, playing cribbage and bridge and visiting with her many friends. Her sense of humour and fun will be greatly missed.

At Betty’s request, no funeral service will be held.

I am sorry to hear of your mom's passing, and happy to read she had her choice. She and my mom nursed together, and I remember interviewing Betty when I chose to go back to school to nurse in my 40's. She was a lovely woman.
