MR. HERBERT MAHE of Lethbridge passed away at the St. Therese Villa on Friday, April 2, 2010 at the age of 93 years.
Herb was born in Cranbrook B.C to Louis and Marie Mahe (Fichant) and then raised in Lethbridge.
Herb is survived by his daughters Randi Lee (Morley) Richardson and Mary Ellen Ramias. He is also survived by grandchildren Mark Ramias and his children Brett, Brock and Troy; Michelle (Kevin) Drader and their children Danielle and Bailey; Jamie (Kristy) Richardson and their daughter Katherine; Darcy (Teresa) Richardson. Herb is also survived by step- daughters Gwen (Ernie) and Betty Davies and their families; step sons-in-law Barry Lowe and Tom Wood and their families.
Herb was predeceased by his wives Irene, the mother of his children in 1965; Clare in 1974, and Mabel in 2002; his brothers Harry (Betty), Edward (May) step-daughters Vena Scheldrup in 2008 and Colleen Lowe in 2010; sons-in-law Wally Davies and Rod Pigeau.
Herb was a gunner in the airforce and came back to work for 77 Oil Company and later became a partner with 77 Oil Co. It was sold to BA Oil in 1965 and later to Superior Propane Ltd. He became division manager retiring in 1981. He obtained his pilot’s license in 1970. Herb was kind, considerate and very devoted to his family. He was a man of integrity, well respected, a true gentleman and friend to all. Herb loved his family and was proud of all of them, he loved his children, grand children and great grandchildren very much.
A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Lois Punton officiating.
Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
