Dear Judy, Christie, Mike & family, David & mother Helen,
Our deepest & heartfelt sympathies go out to you all. Your memories of time shared with Don will be your strength! As you support and comfort each other, may you find peace.
I will often think of Don and our many and varied conversations. They covered Don's interest in the world, both past and present. Don held a deep love and pride for his family. I will always smile at his ability to find a wife willing to carry his guns!
We will miss Don for many reasons and others yet to be discovered as time passes.
Don has left behind an amazing legacy! His legacy will live on with every person his life touched. This is a centuries old paraphrase of a text written by Saint Basil, that sums up Don's legacy.
There is no finer legacy than this:
a tree is known by its fruit,
a man by his deeds,
a good deed is never lost;
He who sows courtesy reaps friendship,
and he who plants kindness gathers love.

It just seemed like a year and a half ago (it was) when we had our 50th class reunion for RHS. It was great to see Don there. He certainly added to our good times in High School. Condolences to the family.

Dear Judy and family,
We are so sad to see that Don has passed. Since we have lived away from Lethbridge for so long we were not aware he wasn't well. We have just moved back to Lethbridge and send our hugs of support. Hope to attend his service.

So saddened by Don's passing. I will miss all the afternoon conversations we had at the Parkside over coffee talking about guns, farming, cars and all the stories of growing up as farm kids in McNally and Wrentham and the hell we raised. He will be missed.

To Judy,family and friends: we are more sorry than we can express to learn of the loss of your husband and dear friend. Don was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word and there are few people who possessed his vitality, intelligence and high regard for family, friends and clients. It is still difficult to realize completely that we are now to be denied this association. It was a privilege to be Don's friend and we will miss him greatly.
