FRANCES ELIZABETH MACCUMBER passed away peacefully at the Milk River Health Centre, on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
FRANCES ELIZABETH MACCUMBER passed away peacefully at the Milk River Health Centre, on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 87 years.
Frances will be lovingly remembered by her sons Michael (Laura), Scott (Kelly), Roger (Cindy), eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and sister Florence Middlemiss.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter "Mac" of 42 years, parents Wallace and Sarah Middlemiss, daughters Linda and Sara, sisters Effie and Eleanor and brothers Edgar, Robert and Earl.
Frances was born August 12, 1931 in Rockburn, Quebec. She served with the Royal Canadian Air Force from December 1953 to December 1956. During this time, she met Mac while he was serving with the Canadian Army. They lived in various places in Quebec and Ontario until Mac retired in 1970 and the family moved to Huntingdon, Quebec. Frances then began working for CIBC, where she worked for 20 years. In 1990, Mac, Frances and Sara moved from Huntingdon to Milk River, Alberta.
Frances enjoyed visiting with friends, playing cards, puzzles, knitting, crosswords and reading. In her younger years, she loved to bowl and play softball, hockey and basketball.
She will be remembered for her kind, gentle nature and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Frances' family would like to thank Dr. Krog, the staff of the Milk River Health Centre and Prairie Rose Lodge for their wonderful care.
A Graveside Service will take place at a later date.

Mike, Scott, Roger and families, My heart is saddened on the passing of your mother. She was a soft gentle soul and loved you all so much. She was an incredibly caring mother-in-law and friend.
