She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Leonard Coyne in 2021, her father Abram, mother Sara, brothers Rudy, Peter and Kerv.

Lorette will be lovingly remembered by her son Bob (Cathy); nephew Verne Thiessen (Donna); grandchildren: Chielse (Andrew), Josh and Shannon (David); and great-grandchildren Charlie and Amy.

Lorette is also survived by sisters-in-law Mildred Thiessen, LaVerne MacLaine and Julaine Coyne, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Lorette was born in Coaldale on May 8th, 1934 and lived her entire life in town. She was very proud of her Mennonite culture, history, traditions and large extended family.

Family Reunions, Celebrations and Holidays always brought her so much joy and happiness. She absolutely loved people and the opportunity to visit and share stories and meals. Quite often you would hear Lorette say “Come on down, I’ll buy you a coffee”. Her home had an opened door policy where all were welcomed, including cats! She always provided a wonderful home for her furry friends.

Lorette married Len Coyne on April 22nd, 1954 and lived in Coaldale. They were active members of the community, supporting various organizations and volunteering their time whenever needed. They formed strong and lasting friendships throughout the years. Together, they maintained and worked hard at the Rental Property Business that they started in 1964.

A feisty little lady, Lorette had a big heart and a caring spirit. She knew who she was and stood by her convictions. She faced all challenges in life with courage and strength.

Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825-32 St. S., Lethbridge, on Thursday, June 27th, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 P.M.

A Graveside Service will be held at the COALDALE COMMUNITY CEMETERY on Friday, June 28th, at 10:00 A.M., where Loretta will be laid to rest beside her husband Len. A time of fellowship & refreshments will follow at the Gem of the West Museum.

Dear Bob, Cathy & Family; I always enjoyed the times that I spent with Loretta and have so many nice memories. She was such a down to earth lady and such an avid sports fan. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
