Lorelli was born on October 2, 1930 in Barons, Alberta, to Robert and Lucille Hodges. She married Jim Craig on October 29th, 1955, and the two spent 8 years on the family farm. In 1963 they moved to Lethbridge, Alberta- the city where they raised their two sons, had their careers, and made their lives.
Lorelli worked at Lethbridge Community College from 1964 until her retirement and during this time she made lifelong friends and even got to graduate with Jim. After retiring, Lorelli spent her time prioritizing her true loves in life; entertaining, travelling, fashion, and the arts. She often said her dream career was to be a designer; this was evident to all who visited their home or yard, as this was where she channeled her creative energy. A holiday table at the Craig’s was always elaborately decorated and full of glitter, leaving little room for the feast prepared for family and friends. She spent endless hours with her granddaughter, which, after having two boys, was something she was looking forward to. She also took daily walks at Henderson Lake, reveled in her daily crossword, and attended Public Affairs, New West Theatre, and the Lethbridge Symphony.
The family had a private burial for Lorelli at Mountain View Cemetery. We invite you to please celebrate Lorelli’s memory in your own ways, perhaps over a good glass of scotch and surrounded by friends. We would like to thank the staff at Park Meadows Good Samaritan’s and Dr. Cunningham for the love and care she received over the last year.
Lorelli is survived by her sons, Scott Craig and Michael Craig, her grandchildren, Madison Craig (Simran Claire) and Devun Craig, and family friend, Rhonda Fletcher.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Craig, and her parents, Robert and Lucille Hodges.
