Long Time Squirrel, George Warrick

MR. GEORGE WARRICK LONG TIME SQUIRREL, passed away at TheEdith Cavell Care Centre, on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the age of 49 years.

George was born on October 24, 1966 in Lethbridge, Alberta and was raised in the Fort Whoop Up area. He attended school in Lethbridge and the Red Crow College, where he completed the nest program. He was employed with Fiorno homes in Lethbridge. George travelled to Victoria, B.C., and won provincial games in the horse shoe tournament. George loved hock and the Calgary Flames, Crib and reading, but most of all he loved being with his family. He was always playing practical jokes on his numerous family and friends.

George is survived by his wife Cindy Old Shoes and his children Ashton, Taylon, Torry, Dustin, Jayde (Brandi) Bull Child, step-children; Candace (Tyler) Day Chief, Amanda (Bert) Vielle, Cody (Crystal) Old Shoes, brothers Antonio (Janet) and Barry, sister Shelley (Paul) Long Time Squirrel, grandchildren Tianna Bull Child, Jayden, Hannah, Joseph Vielle, Rylan, Trayton, Evans, Jolene, Kyra, Zoe Day Chief, aunts and uncles, Leonard Le'hirondelle, Serphine Black, Pearl Long Time Squirrel, Thomas Long Time Squirrel, WIlliam (Mary) Long Time Squirrel and Benita Long Time Squirrel.

He was predeceased by his parents George & Helen Long Time Squirrel, sisters; Donna and Judy Long Time Squirrel, brother Newton Long Time Squirrel, step-son Charles Old Shoes, niece baby Donna, paternal grandparents George and Antonia and maternal grandparents Mike Steele Sr. and Nellie Eagle Child.

A Family Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB., on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. followed by the Wake at OLD SAIPOYI SCHOOL, Stand Off, AB., from 6:00 - 11:00 P.M.

A Funeral Service will be held at OLD SAIPOYI SCHOOL, on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Rocky & Susan Brave Rock officiating.

Interment to follow in St. Catherine's Cemetery.
